Chipping Norton

We are touring the "Chippings"-- Chipping Norton today, Chipping Camden tomorrow. Incredibly beautiful and quaint towns. Hit their height during the wool trade (1500's?) almost every village has an embroidery shop. Almost all have guided walks to see the sights. You could spend a long time here.

Stow on the Wold

This is the center of Stow on the Wold where we are staying. Ever since I heard the name I've wanted to stay here. It's as pretty as it looks.

Day One: Oxford

We arrived at 6am, picked up the car and were in Oxford by 8am.
8am on a Sunday morning is very quiet in a college town. We did an informal walking tour and had so e breakfast. Book stores galore... but all closed. Sigh.

Our takeoff was on time and I am trying to sleep as I know I'll need it when we get there. The plane is so large. I'm not used to so many people across. It's really a non-place up here.
